After being admitted to practice law in Kentucky and before joining Varellas & Varellas, Todd clerked for Justice Mary C. Noble on the Supreme Court of Kentucky. He has previously worked in the areas of civil litigation in Lexington and trial defense in Washington, D.C.
Todd was awarded a full academic scholarship to attend law school, including the top fellowship awarded by the Graduate School, the Charles T. Wethington, Jr. Fellowship, and a multi-year scholarship awarded by the College of Law. While in law school, Todd took advantage of opportunities to develop his litigation and trial skills and his understanding of the litigation process.
In addition to his experience in the legal field, Todd previously studied in Athens, Greece, traveled to Mexico and South America, taught English as a second language to high school students in Shanghai, China, where he gave the commencement address, and interned for his Congressman on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
A native of Lexington, Kentucky, Todd is dedicated to serving our clients and representing people who have been injured, wronged, or accused of crimes, and he seeks to find the best remedy to their legal issues.
In recognition of Todd's trial results, qualifications, and leadership as a trial attorney, he was recently selected by The National Trial Lawyers: Top 40 under 40, as one of the top 40 trial lawyers under the age of 40 practicing in Kentucky. In addition to his active trial practice, Todd is also currently lead counsel or co-counsel in multiple cases on appeal before the Supreme Court of Kentucky and Kentucky Court of Appeals.
