Sandra M. Varellas

Sandra has practiced law in Kentucky throughout her career and has been listed in Who's Who in American Law. In addition to her substantial experience in the law gained through many years in private practice, she presided as a state hearing officer and taught in the legal and mathematics fields. She taught legal writing at the University of Kentucky College of Law and taught Business Law at the University of Kentucky. In addition, legal research papers authored by her have been published multiple times in the Kentucky Law Journal and she has testified before the Kentucky legislature concerning proposed changes in state law. She also served for 30 years as Fayette County Judge/Executive.
As an active community leader, Sandra has served on the boards of the Professional Women's Forum, Bluegrass Estate Planning Council, Commerce Lexington's Council of Smaller Enterprises, Lexington Network, and Lexington Forum. In addition to being admitted to practice law in Kentucky and Florida, Sandra has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
